The fine print
Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
In short
- We collect only what we need to quote for your order and carry it out.
- Only our own staff, in Australia, see what you tell us. We never publish client names, and we never contact the people or sites involved in your situation.
- Your information is stored in Australia. A small number of software providers process some of it overseas, and they are listed below.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
Relda is an Australian business based in Sydney. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
We collect information from you, through our forms and your messages to us, and from public search results for the search terms you give us.
- Your contact details: your name, your email address and, if you give it, your phone number and business name.
- Your situation: the search terms you want checked, the links to the results you want moved, and whatever you choose to tell us about them.
- Information for the work, once you order: the name you prefer, a few sentences about what you do, profiles you already have, and anything you want us to steer clear of.
- Order and payment records: what you ordered, amounts, dates and references. Card details are entered with our payment provider and held by them. We never see or store your full card number.
- A record of your agreement: when you accept our terms we record the time, your IP address and your browser, so that both of us can show what was agreed.
- Evidence of public search results: screenshots of what a search for your search terms shows, so that progress can be measured and proven.
Some of what you tell us may be sensitive, for example information about your health, a criminal record or your private life. You choose what to tell us. By giving us sensitive information you consent to us using it only to quote for your order and carry it out.
If you order for another person or for a business, you confirm that you have their authority to give us their information.
What our website records
- Page statistics that do not use cookies and do not identify you. The private pages for quotes and orders are left out of them.
- A cookie that remembers which advertisement or link first brought you to us. It holds campaign tags and click identifiers, not your name, and it is only stored with your enquiry if you choose to send one.
- A cookie that keeps your private order page open on your own device.
- A scrambled version of your IP address, which cannot be turned back into the address, used to stop our forms being abused.
- A security check on our forms, run by a security provider, that tells people from automated programs.
If you came to us from a Google advertisement, Google is told that an enquiry was made after that click, so that we can see which advertisements work. It is not told your name, your search terms or anything you wrote, and the private pages for quotes and orders never load it. We do not run advertising that follows you around other websites, and we do not build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
- To give you a price, and to carry out, measure and report on your order.
- To take payment, issue refunds and keep the records that tax law requires.
- To reply to you, and to follow up a quote you asked for. You can stop these messages at any time.
- To keep our website and our forms secure.
We do not sell personal information, we do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not use your situation as an example without your written permission and without removing anything that identifies you.
Who sees it
Your information is seen only by our own staff, in Australia, who need it to work on your order. We never contact the people, publishers or websites involved in your situation, and we tell nobody that you are our client.
We use a small number of software providers to run the service. They process information for us under their own security and privacy commitments, and they may not use it for anything else:
- Database and file storage: Australia.
- Website hosting and delivery: the United States, and a worldwide network that serves pages from the location nearest to you.
- Email delivery: the United States and Japan.
- Card payments: the United States.
- Our own email and documents: the United States and other countries where the provider operates data centres.
- Form security check: a worldwide network.
Otherwise we disclose personal information only with your agreement, or where the law requires it.
How it is protected
Information is encrypted when it travels between you and us, access is limited to the staff who need it, and evidence and files are held in private storage.
Your quote and your order page are reached through private links that only you are sent. Anyone who has the link can open the page, so keep it to yourself.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires, and then we delete it or remove what identifies you. Invoices and payment records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Seeing, correcting and deleting your information
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we cannot delete records that the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, write to us and we will look into it and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If you live outside Australia
Your information is held in Australia and handled under this policy. Where the law of your own country gives you additional rights over your information, Relda honours them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version is always on this page.
